Planning Sub Committee B - Thursday, 8th May, 2025 7.30 pm

The Islington Council Planning Sub Committee B met on 8 May 2025, to discuss two planning applications. The committee refused an application for the construction of a dwelling at the rear of 49 Richmond Avenue, London, N1 0LX due to concerns about design, quality of accommodation, sustainability and fire safety. They approved, with amendments to conditions, an application for the demolition of a workshop and erection of a dwelling to the rear of 4-6 Shaftesbury Road, London, N19 4QN.

SPECIAL MEETING ON THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY, Environment, Climate and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 2nd April, 2025 6.00 pm

The Environment, Climate and Transport Scrutiny Committee of Islington Council convened a special meeting to address the climate emergency. The agenda for the meeting listed a single discussion item, focusing on the climate emergency. Councillor Tricia Clarke, Chair of Environment, Climate Change & Transport Scrutiny Committee, presided over the proceedings.

Planning Committee - Monday, 3rd March, 2025 7.30 pm

The Planning Committee approved the application to redevelop 48 Chiswell Street. As part of their decision the Committee amended Condition 27 of the planning decision to ensure that part of the development's roof could not be used as a terrace. They also secured a commitment from the applicant to meet them halfway and increase their contribution to the Council's Affordable Workspace scheme from £2,875,000 to £2,937,500.

Budget Meeting, Council - Thursday, 27th February, 2025 7.15 pm

Islington Council agreed a balanced budget for 2025/26, set the level of council tax, and discussed the provision of public toilets in the borough.
