Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 8th October, 2024 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub Committee approved a new premises licence for Rotunda Cafe in Island Gardens to sell alcohol on and off the premises between 08:00 and 17:00. The committee also approved a new premises licence for 7A Ezra Street to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises until 23:30, Monday to Saturday, and until 19:30 on Sunday.

The meeting approved the creation of a Mayor's Winter Emergency Fund to provide financial support to pensioners ineligible for the scrapped Winter Fuel Allowance payments, and approved time-banded waste collection regulations. Two motions were also debated, one from the Administration on winter fuel payments and another from the Labour group about the council's homelessness accommodation placement policy.

The Licensing Sub-committee granted a new Premises Licence to Taco Taco in Commercial Street, limiting the sale of alcohol to customers dining at the venue, and restricting off-sales to delivery only. A new Premises Licence for the Widow's Son public house, on Devons Road, was also granted.

The Licensing Subcommittee met to decide on two applications. The application for a variation of a premises license for Perfetto Pizza at 391 Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9RA was granted to allow late night refreshment sales until 3am, with 1am-3am for delivery only. The application for a new premises license for The Pickle Factory at 11-14 The Oval, London E2 9DT was also granted, subject to a number of conditions.

...to ensure continued and high-quality services for vulnerable children and young people, the Cabinet approved the re-procurement of the Tower Hamlets Children and Young People’s Supported Housing Pathway contract for three years, with the option for two 12-month extensions, starting June 1st, 2026, at an annual value of £1,783,325, and authorized the Corporate Director of Children's Services to award the contract to the best value bidder.
