Licensing Regulatory Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.15 p.m.

The Licensing Regulatory Committee was scheduled to meet on Tuesday, 3 June 2025, to appoint a vice-chair and note the committee's terms of reference, membership, and quorum for the municipal year 2025/2026. The meeting was also scheduled to remind members to declare any interests they may have had in the items on the agenda.

Licensing Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.30 p.m.

The Licensing Committee convened to discuss several key items, including the establishment of licensing subcommittees, the late-night levy, and a review of prosecutions and appeals. Councillor Suluk Ahmed was appointed Vice Chair of the Committee for the year. The committee also noted its terms of reference, membership, and quorum for the municipal year 2025-2026.

Councillor Abdul Wahid, Chair of Overview & Scrutiny Committee, led a meeting where the committee elected Councillor Abdul Mannan as Vice-Chair and appointed scrutiny lead members to sub-committees. The committee also reviewed a report on maternity care and a challenge session on net zero emissions, agreeing on recommendations for both.
