Proposal for a Borough-Wide Public Spaces Protection Order to Promote Responsible Consumption of Alcohol (IPO/2026/09)

The Camden Cabinet approved the introduction of a borough-wide Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to promote responsible alcohol consumption, effective from 6th July 2026 for three years. The decision also agreed to a fixed penalty notice of £100, discounted to £60 if paid within 14 days. Authority was delegated to the Director of Recreation and Public Safety to implement the order, finalise signage, and handle any variations, extensions, or discharges.

Procurement Strategy for Dockless Bike Hire Services in Camden (IPO/2026/03)

The Leader of the Council approved appointments to the Cabinet and other posts, and delegations by the Leader on 20/05/2026. This included appointing Councillor Patricia Callaghan as Deputy Leader and Councillor Adam Harrison as Second Deputy Leader. The decision also confirmed the Cabinet Portfolios and their respective members.

The Cabinet Member for Best Start for Children and Families approved a waiver for a 10-month contract extension for the Young People's Pathway Mixed Assessment/Progress Service with a maximum value of £418,920 on 5 June 2026. This extension allows officers to stabilise accommodation and support for young people while a new procurement approach is agreed.

The Cabinet Member for Best Start for Children and Families approved a variation to the Section 75 Partnership Agreement for Health Visiting with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust for 33 months, costing £576,950, on 5 June 2026. This variation includes the Best Start Family Service infant feeding support service to increase breastfeeding rates.

The Cabinet Member for Planning and a Sustainable Camden will approve the procurement strategy for a five-year tree planting contract valued at £2,957,685. This contract will cover the planting and maintenance of new trees and aims to ensure high-quality service delivery with opportunities for social value.
