The General Purposes Committee met to discuss updates to the council's constitution and to review the initial plans for the member induction programme in 2026. The Tower Hamlets Development Committee voted to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of 5-6 The Oval, London, E2 9DT, subject to conditions and planning obligations. The development will include residential accommodation, shared living accommodation, workspace, cycle parking, play space, and landscaping. The decision followed concerns raised by residents of the adjacent Empress Works building regarding the impact on daylight and sunlight.

The Tower Hamlets Council Development Committee met to discuss a planning application for an outdoor seating area at 5 Park Drive, Canary Wharf. The committee overturned the officer's recommendation to approve the application, citing concerns over the loss of public realm and potential safety issues.

The Development Committee met, chaired by Councillor Iqbal Hossain, Chair of Development Committee, and approved the demolition of Albert Jacob House and redevelopment of the site to provide a mixed-use development. The new development will include commercial space and 53 affordable residential units, along with associated landscaping and infrastructure improvements.
