The Cabinet of Warwickshire Council decided on 10/09/2026 to note a forecast net service overspend of £10.043m for 2026-27. They also noted the forecast delivery of savings and approved the movement of capital programme spend into future years. The decision also noted risks related to Local Government Reorganisation.

The Cabinet of Warwickshire Council approved the Warwickshire Food Plan 2026-2028 on 10 September 2026. The plan is the council's strategic framework for addressing food insecurity, improving diets, and strengthening food system resilience. The Cabinet authorised the Executive Director for Resources to finalise the plan and supported a partnership-led delivery model through the Warwickshire Food Forum.

The Resources and Fire & Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee approved recommendations for a review of libraries and public spaces on 01/07/2026. The review will examine policies and processes related to age appropriateness, political impartiality, and public confidence. The review will be led by portfolio holders and a team of officers, with findings reported to Cabinet.

The Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee decided to uphold the call-in and referred the recommendation to Cabinet to reconsider the decision on 19/05/2026. The committee recommended assessing alternative measures including working with the Parish council, changing the junction to a Stop Junction, reviewing the speed limit to 30mph, installing larger village signs and white gates, adding signage to encourage drivers to slow down, installing rumble strips and white lines, installing a box junction or raised table, investigating a mini roundabout, and investigating average speed cameras.

The Cabinet of Warwickshire County Council decided to endorse the final version of the Council Plan for 2026-30 on 11 May 2026. This plan sets the direction and focus for all council-led strategy and activity. The decision was made for onward consideration by the full Council.
