Increasing Affordable Temporary Accommodation Supply and Tackling Homelessness in Newham

...to address homelessness and reduce temporary accommodation expenditure, the Cabinet approved a multi-faceted approach including enhanced prevention, accelerated housing duty discharges, cost reduction measures, income increases, a revised Housing Placement Policy, additional funding for the Homelessness Response Programme, a review of the Social Housing Allocations Policy, and a comprehensive review of all households in temporary accommodation.
