Council - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 7.30 pm

Waltham Forest Council met on 17 July 2025, and after observing a moment of silence for the victims of the 7/7 attacks and others, councillors discussed a range of issues including play and community spaces, the borough's financial situation, and parking fees. A motion to support and improve play opportunities for children was passed, and several appointments to committees and outside bodies were agreed.

Climate Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 24th June, 2025 7.00 pm

The Climate Scrutiny Committee of Waltham Forest Council was scheduled to meet on 24 June 2025 to discuss a range of topics, including borough street lighting and a review of the committee's forward plan. The meeting was also scheduled to include a review of the action tracker from the previous meeting, the recommendations tracker, and any accompanying responses.

Annual Meeting, Council - Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 7.30 pm

The Waltham Forest Council meeting scheduled for 22 May 2025 included the election of a new Mayor, the appointment of councillors to various committees and outside bodies, and a review of the council's scheme of delegation. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss the programme of meetings for the upcoming year.

Council - Thursday, 24th April, 2025 7.30 pm

At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council, councillors approved an updated Local Development Scheme and declared a Nature Emergency in the borough. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Mohammad Asghar, father of Councillor Naheed Asghar, Portfolio Lead Member - Inclusive Economy, who had recently passed away.

Climate Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 27th March, 2025 7.00 pm

The Climate Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss the council's air quality, climate action within procurement, and a review of the Enjoy Waltham Forest scheme. The committee was also expected to review action and recommendation trackers from previous meetings. This was scheduled to be the final meeting for the municipal year.
