Children and Education Scrutiny Sub-Committee - Thursday, 11th July, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Children and Education Scrutiny Sub-Committee met to discuss the progress that has been made in delivering the council's youth services, including plans to open a youth club in each of the borough's wards. They also discussed the priorities of the Children's Services Directorate for the coming year, and reviewed the Sub-Committee's draft work programme for the 2024/25 municipal year.
Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 9th July, 2024 2.30 p.m.
The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider two licensing applications: an application for a new premises license for the Borough of Bethnal Green Working Men's Club and an application for a variation of a premises license for the Victoria Park Market. The committee adjourned to make their decisions in private, and the applicants were to be notified within five working days.
Audit Committee - Monday, 8th July, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Audit Committee discussed updates on the progress of various internal and external audits being carried out at the council. Councillors noted four reports on School Audits, Risk Management, Insurance and Internal Audit. They also discussed the committee's work plan for 2024/25. Finally, the committee moved into private session to discuss a confidential matter.

The Pensions Committee noted the 2023/24 accounts for the Tower Hamlets Pension Fund before they are audited by EY. They also noted a number of updates on the running of the Pension Fund, and a work programme for the coming year.
