The Cabinet of Tower Hamlets Council met on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, to discuss and approve the provisional budget report for 2026-27 and the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for 2026-29. Standards Advisory Committee - Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Standards Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet to discuss updates to the register of interests, improvements to political culture, and the handling of code of conduct matters. The committee will also look at the outcome of a government consultation on member conduct and consider dispensations under the Localism Act.

Transformation and Assurance Board - Tuesday, 25th November, 2025 10.00 a.m.

The Transformation and Assurance Board was scheduled to meet to discuss feedback on the Continuous Improvement Plan, receive an update on the LGA Peer Review, and discuss member induction. The board was also expected to review and reaffirm its 'ground rules'.

Standards Advisory Committee - Monday, 29th September, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Standards Advisory Committee met to discuss the preparations for the 2026 Member Induction Programme, and to review the quarterly update on the register of interests, gifts and hospitality. Councillors also received an update on the Member's Pledge, a behavioural framework being developed with the Centre for Governance and Scrutiny.
