Planning Applications Committee - Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 10.00 am
The Planning Applications Committee met to discuss the installation of electric bus infrastructure at Acacia Hall Car Park in Dartford, and to note several matters dealt with under delegated powers. The committee approved the installation of the electric bus infrastructure, and also agreed to include an informative encouraging the applicant to consider measures to prevent HGVs from entering the bus charging area.
County Council - Thursday, 6th November, 2025 10.00 am
Kent County Council (KCC) met to discuss local government reorganisation, the council's strategic direction, and pressing issues such as social care funding and NHS pressures. The council approved its strategic statement, Reforming Kent 2025-2028, and debated a motion on the NHS and social care crisis, but did not vote on KCC's strategic business case for local government reorganisation in Kent and Medway.
Kent Flood Risk and Water Management Committee - Wednesday, 29th October, 2025 10.00 am
The Kent Flood Risk and Water Management Committee are scheduled to meet on Wednesday 29th October 2025 to discuss flood risk and water management in Kent. Presentations from South East Water, the Environment Agency, and the Southern Water Clean Rivers and Seas Task Force are scheduled, as well as an update on the Kent County Council (KCC) Local Flood Risk Management Strategy. The committee will also be reviewing KCC's severe weather response activity.
Regulation Committee - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 2.00 pm
The Regulation Committee convened to discuss public rights of way and planning enforcement. The committee noted a report on the work of the Public Rights of Way and Access Service, including challenges posed by application backlogs, and also reviewed ongoing planning enforcement cases, which were discussed in detail in a closed session due to confidentiality. Councillor Maxine Fothergill was elected as chair of the committee, and Mrs Bridget Porter was elected as vice chair.
