The Impact of Scrutiny Advisory Committee met to review the progress of the council's SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision. Councillors agreed that sufficient progress had been made and signed off recommendations relating to the quality of communication with parents, and the application of education legislation.

The Hertfordshire County Council Audit Committee met to discuss the draft accounts, treasury management, governance, risk, and fraud-related matters. The committee approved the Annual Governance Statement 2024/25 and Code of Corporate Governance 2025/26 and agreed to a risk focus report on the shortage of social care workforce for the next meeting. The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including political proportionality, traffic congestion, youth justice, and local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to continue exploring options for local government reorganisation, while also agreeing to re-establish a youth parliament. The panel also recommended that the cabinet agree to appropriate land at Pin Green, Stevenage, for a new adult day care centre.
