The report sets out a proposed strategy for the roll out of CCTV enforcement of a range of moving traffic offences which fall under the powers conferred on the Council by the Secretary of State for Transport under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act for consideration and endorsement. Support for the strategy's core selection criteria, used to identify potential enforcement sites, will be sought by demonstrating how these can be applied to tackle dangerous driving, improving road safety and the general operation of the highway network.
