Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Monday, 29th September, 2025 7.00 pm
The Council of the London Borough of Sutton is holding an extraordinary meeting on Monday, 29 September 2025. Councillors will be asked to designate a permanent Monitoring Officer, and to note the interim arrangements in place until that officer starts in post.
Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 7.30 pm
The Sutton Council Scrutiny Committee is scheduled to meet on 24 September 2025 to discuss crime, policing and community safety in Sutton, and to receive an update on national NHS changes and the commissioning of health services. The committee will be held at the Civic Offices in Sutton. Councillor Edward Joyce, Chair of the Scrutiny Committee, will welcome those present.
Planning Committee - Wednesday, 6th August, 2025 7.00 pm
The Sutton Council Planning Committee met on 6 August 2025, and made decisions on three planning applications. Councillors refused an application to increase the number of bedrooms in an existing house in multiple occupation (HMO) at 37 Longfield Avenue, and granted permission for the retention of a pergola at 19 Calico Avenue and for extended hours of operation at the sports hall at Wallington County Grammar School.

The Sutton Council meeting on 14 July 2025 included discussion of a number of motions, including the protection of Greenbelt land, helping residents through hard times, addressing the deterioration of Mill Green Mitcham Common, and Parkinson's awareness.
