The meeting of Surrey County Council is scheduled to include discussion of the Surrey Pension Fund, changes to cabinet portfolios, and a review of political proportionality. There will also be discussion of amendments to the council's constitution, and a report from the cabinet.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 25 November 2025 2.00 pm

The Surrey County Council cabinet met to discuss the 2026/27 draft budget, schools and early years funding, changes to adult social care charging policies, and the climate change delivery plan. The cabinet approved the draft budget for 2026/27, which includes a proposed council tax increase of 2.99%, alongside a 2% precept for social care, and also approved a number of property disposals. The cabinet also endorsed the coordinated admissions scheme for September 2027, and recommended the scheme to the County Council for approval.

Strategic Investment Board - Thursday, 13 November 2025 10.30 am

The Strategic Investment Board met to discuss the corporate overview business plans and the corporate investment overview, focusing on the 2025/26 performance review. The board approved the recommendations as per the part 1 report.

The People, Performance and Development Committee Appointment Sub-Committee of Surrey Council met to discuss the appointment of a new Director of HR[^2] and Organisational Development. The committee also considered the composition of interview panels for senior council positions.
