The Cabinet of Brent Council approved entering into a new Collaboration Agreement for the West London Fostering Recruitment and Retention Programme on 27/07/2026. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Corporate Director Children, Young People and Community Development, in consultation with the Corporate Director of Finance and Resources, to finalise the terms of this agreement. This includes undertaking the whole fostering assessment process and providing initial training to foster carers.

The Cabinet decided to approve entering a new Section 75 partnership arrangement with the West and North London Integrated Care Board for the delivery of the Better Care Fund plan for 2026-27. This decision was made on 27/07/2026. Authority was delegated to the Corporate Director Service Reform and Strategy to extend the agreement for up to four years and to make annual financial contributions to the Better Care Fund budget.

The Cabinet of Brent Council approved undertaking a limited trial of electric vehicle pavement channels on 27/07/2026. This decision allows the council to gauge the suitability of the technology and establish criteria for wider deployment. The approved budget for the project includes all relevant costs.
