Cotswold Cabinet approved the write-off of £5,760.12 Council Tax debt on 15/10/2026. The debt was considered too old to recover and all recovery options had been exhausted.

Cotswold District Council Cabinet recommended to Council that the Council Tax Premium policy be amended. The amendment provides an additional exemption for qualifying properties restricted to occupation by those aged 55 years and over, subject to a minor wording change to clarify that "the dwelling" must have been marketed at a reasonable price to secure a sale. The Cabinet decided to approve the 2027/28 Budget Strategy and delegate authority to the Head of Waste & Environment to commence the procurement process for vehicles identified in the Fleet Replacement Programme for 2027/28. This decision was made on 15/10/2026.

The policy sets out the council's approach to regulating housing standards and taking enforcement action in the private rented sector. It incorporates new powers and duties from the Renters' Rights Act 2025 to protect tenants and support responsible landlords.
