The Staffing Committee interviewed candidates for the vacant Corporate Director of Communications & Campaigns role and agreed to offer the position to Adrian Thomas, subject to the appropriate checks.

Chief Officer Appointment - Director of Return on Investment (ROI), Staffing Committee - Wednesday, 11th September, 2024 3.00 pm

The Staffing Committee met to interview candidates for the vacant Director of Return on Investment (ROI) role and ultimately decided to offer the position to Mark Brickell, pending the appropriate checks.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 10th September, 2024 2.00 pm

The Cabinet noted an overspend of £14 million on its revenue budget, agreed to directly award the contract for drug and alcohol services to Change Grow Live (CGL), adopted a new Serious Violence Strategy and agreed to lease two sites for temporary accommodation.

Council - Thursday, 18th July, 2024 7.30 pm

The Council voted to welcome the new Labour government and to write to the Prime Minister to offer their congratulations. Councillors also voted to adopt a new Civility in Public Life action plan, and to approve the transfer of planning powers back to the Council from the LLDC.

Integrated Meeting of WF Health & Wellbeing and Health & Care Partnership Boards - Monday, 15th July, 2024 1.00 pm

The Integrated Meeting of the Health and Wellbeing and Health and Care Partnership Boards made a number of decisions, including agreeing to adopt the amended terms of reference for the Health and Care Partnership Board, noting the Good Care Conversation update, learnings from the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and the Promoting Wellbeing Workstream update, and signing off on the Mental Health Promotion Strategy and the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2024-2027. The Health and Wellbeing Board also approved the Quarter 2 Better Care Fund (BCF) report, while the Health and Care Partnership Board noted the Integrated Care Transformation Programmes update.
