Cabinet - Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024 2.00 pm

The Cabinet made a number of decisions. The most significant of these was to proceed with the planned closure of the Markhouse Centre in Walthamstow. This was despite extensive opposition to the closure from service users, their families and trades unions, including through a petition to keep the centre open. The Cabinet also agreed to the continuation of the ‘All East’ integrated sexual health service in a joint arrangement with Newham, Tower Hamlets and Redbridge, and voted to adopt a new scheme for the Local Council Tax Support Scheme from 2025/26.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 5th November, 2024 2.00 pm

The Cabinet approved the new Private Rented Sector Strategy and its Delivery Plan, the recommissioning of the In-borough Home to School Transport contract for children and young people with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities, and the Corporate Peer Challenge Action Plan. They noted reports on the Council's Medium Term Financial Strategy, and on the Housing Scrutiny Committee's Themed Review of Housing Options and Support, adopting recommendations made in the latter.

Appointments Panel: Director of Early Help and Prevention, Staffing Committee - Tuesday, 22nd October, 2024 2.30 pm

This meeting of the Staffing Committee was scheduled to consider the appointment of a new Corporate Director of Early Help & Prevention.

Integrated Meeting of WF Health & Wellbeing and Health & Care Partnership Boards - Monday, 21st October, 2024 1.00 pm

The Integrated Meeting of the Waltham Forest Health and Wellbeing and Health Care Partnership considered reports on a range of local health issues. Councillors were also asked to note an update on work relating to the Better Care Fund.
