The Council of North Northamptonshire Council met on Thursday 22 January 2026, approving a revised scheme for members' allowances and a new municipal timetable for the upcoming year. During the meeting of North Northamptonshire Council, held on 11 December 2025, councillors approved the Corporate Parenting Board Annual Report 2024-25, the Northamptonshire Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and the terms of reference for a Community Governance Review. They also agreed to introduce council tax premiums for long-term empty properties and second homes, and set the council tax base for 2026/27.

The North Northamptonshire Council Planning Committee met to discuss three planning applications, including a controversial proposal to modify an agreement for retail provision at the Stanton Cross development. The committee refused the modification to the Stanton Cross agreement, but approved the applications for a house extension in Raunds and a classroom replacement at Millbrook Junior School in Kettering, subject to conditions and further review.
