Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Wednesday, 4th February, 2026 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee is scheduled to review the council's Corporate Impact Framework, which measures the council's performance against its key priorities and challenges. The committee will also receive an overview of the outcomes from recent task and finish workshops that delved into areas of high demand and financial pressure within Adult Social Care, Temporary Accommodation, and SEND services. Finally, the committee will review its own work plan and progress on actions from previous meetings.

The Council of Waltham Forest was scheduled to meet on 11 December 2025 to discuss several topics, including the council tax support scheme, fees and charges for 2026/27, and a proposed new smoke control order. The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee was scheduled to meet to review corporate impact, discuss the delivery of Mission Waltham Forest, and receive an update on the Corporate Peer Challenge. Councillors were also expected to review and comment on the action tracker from the previous meeting.

The Waltham Forest Council met to discuss a range of topics, including amendments to the council's constitution, treasury management, and a motion regarding support for local businesses.
