The Local Pension Board for the London Borough of Barnet Pension Fund assists the Pension Fund Committee in ensuring the pension scheme is managed and administered in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. It scrutinises the committee's work, reviews policy documents, and checks compliance with requirements from the Pension Regulator.

This is an advisory and scrutiny board, meaning it does not make decisions or carry out duties that are the responsibility of the Administering Authority. Its role is to support the Administering Authority in its ultimate responsibility for the pension scheme's governance and administration.
