About
The Standards Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct for councillors, co-opted members, and representatives of religious organisations and parent governors within Haringey Council. It assists these individuals in observing the Members' Code of Conduct and advises the Council on its adoption, revision, and monitoring. The committee also provides training on ethical frameworks, grants dispensations from conduct requirements, and assesses and determines allegations of code breaches. It responds to national consultations on standards, advises on politically restricted posts, and recommends constitutional amendments to the full Council.
