About

The Health and Social Care Scrutiny Sub Committee scrutinises health and social care functions within Harrow. It reviews the planning, provision, and operation of local health services, including infrastructure, commissioning, and collaborative working with health agencies. The committee also considers policy proposals impacting health and wellbeing, and responds to consultations from NHS bodies and other health service providers.

It has the power to recommend referrals to the Secretary of State regarding health functions and must acknowledge and respond to referrals made through local HealthWatch arrangements. The committee works to maintain relationships with health partners and ensures compliance with relevant regulations, with its work overseen by the Overview & Scrutiny Committee.
