About

The Appointments Committee is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and appointment of senior council officers, including the Chief Executive, Corporate Directors, Executive Directors, and other Chief Officers on JNC National Conditions of Service. It also handles matters related to their salaries and service conditions, provided these are within approved budgets. The committee also establishes and implements annual appraisal and remuneration review processes for these senior roles, based on performance targets. Full Council approval is required for the Chief Executive's appointment, and the committee authorises compensation packages upon termination of employment.
