About

The Licensing Committee is responsible for determining licensing policy and procedures, as well as setting licensing fees and charges for Tower Hamlets. It also considers and determines applications for various licenses, including premises licenses, personal licenses, and club premises certificates under the Licensing Act 2003, particularly when objections or representations have been received. The committee can also revoke or review existing licenses and has the authority to decide on applications for special treatment licenses, gaming permits, and lotteries where objections are present. It may establish a Licensing Sub-Committee to handle specific matters.
