About

The Pensions Committee is responsible for overseeing pension matters and ensuring the Council meets its legal obligations under the Superannuation Act 1972, particularly concerning investment. It considers pension fund investments and related statutory requirements. The committee consists of seven voting Members of the Council, with a quorum of three. It also includes non-voting representatives from Trade Unions and Admitted Bodies, who are employers participating in the Local Authority Pensions Scheme.
