The Electoral Review Committee oversees electoral reviews within Wiltshire, including those conducted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE). It makes recommendations to Full Council on proposals concerning the number of councillors, electoral division boundaries, and councillor numbers per division.
The committee also manages community governance reviews, considering changes to parish areas, the creation or abolition of parishes, and parish electoral arrangements. It can recommend amendments to unitary divisions to align with parish changes and advise on the composition of Area Boards. Additionally, it makes decisions regarding polling district and polling place reviews and receives reports on electoral services.
