• RBKares is requesting £3,000 for their Warmer in Winter Bags initiative. This project aims to distribute 250 bags containing warm clothing items, torches, hot water bottles, and thermal mugs to vulnerable residents in Kingston and North Kingston. The bags will also include leaflets on mental health support, debt advice, and local free meal services. The project also involves volunteers from RBKrafters making handmade bags and blankets, and a partnership with the Kingston Liberal Synagogue for packing.

Robin Hood School Street Scheme

The committee is being asked to approve the implementation of a School Street Scheme on an experimental basis for Robin Hood School. This scheme would affect Bowness Crescent, Windermere Road, and a small section of Robin Hood Lane. School Street Schemes typically involve restricting vehicle access to certain streets outside schools during drop-off and pick-up times to improve safety and air quality for pupils and parents.

Community Safety Update

A report is scheduled to provide the committee with an update on community safety initiatives. This will cover the work undertaken over the past six months and outline plans for the next six months.

Objection to Traffic Management Order for a Disabled Bay in Clifton Road

The committee will consider objections received regarding a Traffic Management Order (TMO) for a disabled bay in Clifton Road. A TMO is a legal order that allows for traffic and parking restrictions to be put in place. The report details one objection received, which raises concerns about parking capacity, potential congestion, visibility, and access issues. The objector also expressed concern that the bay might primarily support a dog walking and transportation business rather than residential accessibility needs.
