The Member Conduct Panel of Leicestershire County Council was scheduled to convene on Wednesday 29 July 2026. The primary focus of the meeting was to address complaints lodged under the Members' Code of Conduct.
Complaints under the Members' Code of Conduct
The panel was scheduled to consider complaints made under Part 5(a) of the Leicestershire County Council Constitution, which outlines the Members' Code of Conduct. The report pack indicated that these complaints were to be presented by the Monitoring Officer. Due to the sensitive nature of these complaints, the public were likely to be excluded from this part of the meeting, in accordance with Section 100(a) of the Local Government Act 1972. The specific details of the complaints were contained within a restricted document, accessible only to panel members and relevant officers, due to containing confidential, exempt, personal or sensitive information.
