The meeting was scheduled to include a discussion of the ward community budget. Ward community budgets are funds that are allocated to each ward within Leicester City Council, for spending on local priorities.¹

The meeting was scheduled to include feedback from the ward councillors, Councillor Melissa March, Councillor Dr Lynn Moore, and Councillor Geoff Whittle, Assistant City Mayor - Environment and Transport. It was also scheduled to include updates from Leicestershire Police and the City Warden.

Domestic Abuse Service Update

The agenda for the meeting included a Domestic Abuse Service Update. Domestic abuse is defined as any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality. It can include psychological, physical, sexual, financial and emotional abuse.

Highways Update

The meeting was scheduled to include a highways update. Highways are the main roads and streets in the city, and Leicester City Council is responsible for maintaining them.
