The Planning and Development Control Committee met to discuss four planning applications, including proposals for residential care homes and a change of use for student accommodation. Councillors approved plans for an extension to a house on Mendip Avenue, but refused permission for a change of use to a children's care home on Ashton Green Road. Two applications for children's care homes on Helena Crescent and York Street were approved, subject to conditions.

The Knighton Community Meeting was scheduled to take place on Thursday 10 July 2025 at the 9th Leicester Scout Group. The meeting was scheduled to include updates from ward councillors, the police, and the city warden, as well as a discussion of the ward community budget. The meeting was also scheduled to include a discussion of domestic abuse services and highways.

The Leicester City Council meeting on 3 July 2025 was scheduled to address contract procedure rules and the Governance and Audit Committee's annual report. The meeting was also scheduled to cover declarations of interest, petitions, questions from the public and councillors, and any urgent business.

Permission was refused for a change of use from a residential dwelling to a children's care home at 6 Green View, and for the demolition of a single-storey rear extension and change of use of a dwelling to a shop at 4-10 Macdonald Road.
