The committee agreed the minutes of their previous meeting and proceeded to interview candidates for the role of Director of Culture and Community Safety. Director of Culture and Community Safety Interviews

The committee held final panel interviews for the position of Director of Culture and Community Safety. This role, along with its salary details, had been previously outlined in the agenda pack for the 11 March 2026 meeting. The interviews themselves were conducted in Part B of the meeting, meaning the press and public were excluded due to the likely disclosure of exempt information. The committee agreed to exclude the press and public from the remainder of the meeting under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, citing the disclosure of exempt information. The minutes of the previous meeting, held on 24 March 2026, were also agreed.
