Planning and Transportation Committee - Tuesday, 9th September, 2025 9.15 am

The Planning and Transportation Committee of the City of London Corporation met on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, to discuss a City Fund highway declaration and a review of public parking provision. The Planning Applications Sub-Committee met on 9 September 2025, and approved plans to convert the Custom House, a Grade I listed building, into a hotel-led mixed-use development, and to use part of the Sugar Quay Jetty for seating and service related to a ground floor restaurant. The Custom House plan includes a hotel, spa, and ground floor food, beverage, gallery and event spaces, along with significant public realm improvements. The Sugar Quay Jetty application allows for a commercial seating area while maintaining public access.

Resource Allocation Sub (Policy and Resources) Committee - Tuesday, 9th September, 2025 1.45 pm

The Resource Allocation Sub (Policy and Resources) Committee met to discuss capital funding, Community Infrastructure Levy Neighbourhood Fund (CILNF) grants, and the Climate Action Strategy (CAS). The committee approved the use of Section 106 Carbon Offset funds for a project to optimise sites connected to Citigen, and also approved the minutes of the previous meeting.

Court of Common Council - Thursday, 24th July, 2025 1.00 pm

The Court of Common Council was scheduled to meet to discuss a range of issues, including improvements to Leadenhall Street, changes to the Fraud and Cyber Crime Reporting and Analysis Service Procurement Committee, and a new project management framework. They were also scheduled to consider appointments to various boards, applications for the Freedom of the City, and reports from the Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Comptroller & City Solicitor.

Capital Buildings Board - Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 9.30 am

The Capital Buildings Board of the City of London Corporation met on 16 July 2025 to discuss updates on several major construction projects, including the Market Co-Location Programme, the Salisbury Square Development, and the Barking Reach Power Station site remediation. The board was also scheduled to review the Major Programmes Office dashboard report. Some of the meeting was scheduled to be held in private due to the discussion of exempt information as defined in the Local Government Act 1972[^1].
