Housing & Regeneration Scrutiny Sub Committee - Tuesday, 16th September, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Housing & Regeneration Scrutiny Sub Committee met to discuss housing and regeneration priorities for 2025-26, receive an update on preparations for Awaab's Law[^2], and review the draft Housing Strategy. The committee discussed targets for affordable home building, improvements to council homes, and measures to address homelessness. They also talked about the challenges and opportunities in the private rented sector.

Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub Committee met to discuss a new premises licence for Karma Cans Ltd, and for Vertus J1-J3 Limited, with a decision on the Vertus application being resolved prior to the meeting. The sub-committee heard from the applicants for Karma Cans, residents who had raised objections, and a licensing officer.

Council - Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Council meeting on 16 July 2025 addressed several key issues, including petitions related to community assets and funding, and the ongoing continuous improvement journey required by the government. While motions on housing and child poverty were submitted, they were not debated due to time constraints.

Licensing Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.30 p.m.

The Licensing Committee convened to discuss several key items, including the establishment of licensing subcommittees, the late-night levy, and a review of prosecutions and appeals. Councillor Suluk Ahmed was appointed Vice Chair of the Committee for the year. The committee also noted its terms of reference, membership, and quorum for the municipal year 2025-2026.
