The Combined Authority Board of West Yorkshire Combined Authority approved the recommendations of the Independent Remuneration Panel on member remuneration and adopted the Members' Allowances Scheme for the municipal year 2026/27 on 30 July 2026. The scheme includes updated allowances for various roles and indexation of allowances to the cost of living.

The Combined Authority Board approved the Bus Reform – Fleet Provision scheme for Rounds 1 and 2 to proceed through Decision Point 4 and commence Activity 5. The Board approved additional funding of £90,347,136, bringing the total approval to £121,526,206, with estimated total scheme costs up to £265,821,038. Future approvals will follow the assurance pathway, approval route, and tolerances outlined in the Business Case Summary.

The Combined Authority Board approved the indicative pipeline of projects for the West Yorkshire Housing Investment Fund on 30/07/2026. They also noted emerging partnership models for growth and regeneration. The Board delegated to the Investment Board the endorsement of future revisions to the indicative housing pipeline.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority Board approved the making of a Compulsory Purchase Order and supporting statutory documentation on 30 July 2026. The Board authorised the Chief Executive to finalise the order, submit it to the Secretary of State, make minor amendments, and progress the CPO process. Funding for the CPO process for 2026/27 was approved from the Combined Authority's revenue budget, utilising reserves as necessary.

The Combined Authority Board resolved to note the appointment of Kirklees Council's Combined Authority Board Member and Substitute, and the appointment of political balance members to the Combined Authority Board. The Board also appointed political balance members to the Governance & Audit Committee, Investment Board, and Weaver Network Board.
