Councillor Yusuf Patel, Chair of the Committee, was expected to chair the meeting. This was scheduled to be the final meeting for the municipal year, and the committee were expected to suggest items for the 2025/26 draft work programme for the incoming committee.

At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council, councillors approved an updated Local Development Scheme and declared a Nature Emergency in the borough. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Mohammad Asghar, father of Councillor Naheed Asghar, Portfolio Lead Member - Inclusive Economy, who had recently passed away.
Joint Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 15th April, 2025 4.00 pm
The Outer North East London Joint Health Screening Committee met to discuss health updates, a deep dive into cancer services, and a proposed bus route. The committee agreed to support a proposal for an alternative route for the Superloop bus, and requested a written update on the repercurement of services previously provided by ELFT[^2] and on the 111 service.
