The Farnham Board of Surrey Council met on Friday 31 October 2025. The board was scheduled receive an overview of progress made on various projects, and to discuss the future of the Brightwells Gostrey Centre project. They were also scheduled to discuss the Farnham Infrastructure Programme.

Children, Families, Lifelong Learning and Culture Select Committee - Thursday, 16 October 2025 10.00 am

The Children, Families, Lifelong Learning and Culture Select Committee met to discuss early help, corporate parenting, children's homes, and preparing for adulthood. The committee made several recommendations, including a call for a joint data and document management strategy for children's and adult social care, and expressed concern that there was no timeline for a final decision on whether a dedicated 16 to 18 service would be established. The committee also heard updates on Ofsted inspections of children's homes, and discussed performance data related to children's services.

Council - Tuesday, 14 October 2025 10.00 am

The meeting of Surrey Council included discussion of the Surrey Youth Justice Plan 2025/26, questions from councillors to cabinet members, and briefings from cabinet members. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss the minutes from previous meetings of the council and the cabinet.

Adults and Health Select Committee - Wednesday, 8 October 2025 10.00 am

The Adults and Health Select Committee met to discuss the Mindworks transformation programme and the older people's residential and nursing care strategy. Councillors questioned officers from Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust (SABP) about waiting times, the support available in schools, and how the services are communicated to parents. The committee also discussed a plan for residential and nursing care, and agreed to continue to prepare a strategic business case for approval by the cabinet.

Surrey Pension Fund Committee - Monday, 15 September 2025 10.00 am

The Surrey Pension Fund Committee met to discuss investment performance, responsible investment, and the implications of local government reorganisation (LGR) for the fund. The committee agreed to note reports on investment performance, the Surrey Pension Team's activities, and recent developments in local government pensions. They also approved a draft funding strategy statement, subject to employer consultation, and delegated authority to finalise the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) report.
