Confirmation Hearings, Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Police and Crime Panel - Thursday, 30 October 2025 10.15 am

The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Police and Crime Panel met to conduct confirmation hearings for three proposed Deputy Police and Crime Commissioners (DPCCs). The panel endorsed the appointments of Oliver Bryan as DPCC for Engagement and Lobbying and Neetu Squire as DPCC for Community Cohesion. The panel also recommended the appointment of Reverend Gwyn Davies as DPCC for Criminal Justice, but he subsequently withdrew for health reasons.

The Leicestershire County Council Cabinet was scheduled to meet on 28 October 2025 to discuss a range of topics, including the Investing in Leicestershire Programme, the Local Transport Plan, flood mitigation, rights of way, local plans in Melton, museum policy, and an efficiency review.

The Leicestershire County Council meeting on 24 September 2025 was scheduled to address a range of issues, including the revision of the council's constitution, and motions concerning the protection of rural communities and homes from flooding. Councillors were also due to answer questions from the public and consider reports from various committees.
