Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 13th November, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub Committee met to discuss two applications for new premises licences. The first application was resolved prior to the meeting. The committee then considered the second application, but ultimately refused a new premises licence for Midpoint, 112-116 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1JE, due to concerns about crime, disorder and public nuisance.

Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 4th November, 2025 6.30 p.m.

Councillor Abdi Mohamed, chaired a meeting of the Licensing Sub Committee, which addressed a range of licensing issues, including a premises licence variation, a licence review and transfer, and a temporary event notice (TEN). A decision on the premises licence variation for The Widow's Son, was deferred, while the committee heard arguments for and against the review, and transfer of the premises licence for East End (Kaymax) Off Licence. The committee also considered a TEN application for 63 Redchurch Street, which was withdrawn after discussion.

Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 14th October, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub Committee met to discuss new premise licence applications for Best Kebab by Lokanta 82, Niu Hot Pot, and Silver Raven. The sub committee agreed to extend the decision deadline for Best Kebab by Lokanta 82 and adjourned the meeting to reach a decision on the temporary event notice application.

Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 2nd October, 2025 2.00 p.m.

The Licensing Sub Committee convened to address several licensing matters, including a review of a premises licence, applications for a new premises licence and a transfer of a premises licence, and a temporary event notice. The most significant discussion revolved around the review of the premises licence for AM to PM/Food Giant Express, due to concerns raised by the police and Trading Standards regarding breaches of licensing objectives. The sub committee also discussed a new premises licence for Pick Pic, and a temporary event notice for Vittoria Wharf Studio.

Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 25th September, 2025 2.00 p.m.

The Licensing Sub Committee convened to discuss a temporary event notice (TEN) for 41 Braithwaite Street and an application for a new premises licence for Vittoria Wharf Studio. The committee refused the TEN application due to concerns about public safety and nuisance, and deferred the decision on the premises licence for Vittoria Wharf Studio.
