The meeting considered and agreed eleven non-exempt items, and noted an additional item for information. Two items on the agenda had exempt appendices that were noted and discussed after the exclusion of the press and public.
Pensions Committee - Wednesday, 24th July, 2024 7.00 pm, NEW
The Pensions Committee was scheduled to receive presentations on shareholder voting guidance from PIRC, the Pensions & Investment Research Consultants Ltd, and on the performance of the Pension Fund from 1 January to 31 March 2024. The committee was also scheduled to receive a report from officers on the implementation of the Investment Strategy agreed at the previous meeting.
Executive - Thursday, 18th July, 2024 7.00 pm
The Executive voted to approve all of the items on the agenda, including the adoption of the People Friendly Streets Individual Exemption Policy, a new payment plan for leaseholders facing major works charges, and the extension of a contract for parking enforcement services. Councillors also discussed the redevelopment of the Finsbury Leisure Centre, a new strategy for tackling food insecurity, and the renewal of the lease on two units of the Bush Industrial Estate.
Council - Thursday, 11th July, 2024 7.15 pm
The meeting of the full council approved the minutes of the previous meeting and agreed to several appointments to committees. Councillors also debated a petition to redevelop the Sunnyside Community Center, and heard a deputation from the Friends of Barnard Park about traffic and parking in the park.
Executive - Thursday, 27th June, 2024 7.00 pm
The Executive met on Thursday 27 June 2024 and discussed the council's budget. They noted that the council had almost broken even after a decade of austerity, and that this achievement was largely down to the brilliant financial stewardship
of council officers. The Executive also discussed plans to increase the number of supported accommodation places the council procures for young people between 16 and 25. Councillors agreed to increase the supported accommodation available to 200 places per night. The Executive also discussed the council's housing repairs and maintenance policy. They agreed to adopt the new policy after a short discussion of the detail.

Finsbury Leisure Centre Redevelopment - I030971
