Licensing Regulatory Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.15 p.m.

The Licensing Regulatory Committee was scheduled to meet on Tuesday, 3 June 2025, to appoint a vice-chair and note the committee's terms of reference, membership, and quorum for the municipal year 2025/2026. The meeting was also scheduled to remind members to declare any interests they may have had in the items on the agenda.

Development Committee - Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 6.30 p.m.

Annual Meeting, Council - Wednesday, 14th May, 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Council meeting on 14 May 2025 included the election of a new speaker and deputy speaker, and decisions on the make-up of committees for the municipal year. Councillor Suluk Ahmed was elected as the new speaker, and Councillor Bellal Uddin as deputy speaker. The council also voted to adopt an independent chair for the Audit Committee and re-adopted the council's constitution.

Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 1st May, 2025 6.30 p.m.

Councillor Shahaveer Shubo Hussain, Chair of the licensing subcommittee, opened the meeting to discuss a new premises licence for Vittoria Wharf Studios and a variation to the Club Premise Certificate for Globe Town Community Association. No decisions were made at the meeting, and the decision deadline was extended for these applications, as well as for Feast Express, Asia Villa and Power League Paddle.

Development Committee - Thursday, 24th April, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Development Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met to discuss three planning applications, ultimately granting permission for all three with attached conditions and obligations. The applications concerned the retrospective change of use for a multi-use games area at Halley Primary School, the redevelopment of the Stifford Community Centre site, and the reconfiguration of commercial space at 5 Yeo Street.
