Licensing Sub-Committee (2) - Thursday 7th August, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee (2) of Westminster Council scheduled a meeting to discuss licensing applications for Taco Bell and Strand News. The committee, composed of Councillor Maggie Carman, Deputy Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Supported and Specialist Housing, Councillor Barbara Arzymanow, and Councillor Hamza Taouzzale, was expected to consider new premises and variations to existing licenses, taking into account the City of Westminster statement of Licensing Policy and guidance issued by the Secretary of State.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 21st July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee is scheduled to meet to discuss its work programme for the coming year, receive updates from the Leader of the Council and various policy and scrutiny committees, and review the council's emergency preparedness and crime prevention strategies. The committee will also consider and comment on the draft annual report of policy and scrutiny activity in the 2024/25 municipal year.

Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 3rd July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee are scheduled to meet to discuss the re-procurement of housing term partnership contracts, and to scrutinise the consultation of the Paddington Place Plan. The committee will also review and approve the committee work programme for forthcoming meetings. Councillor Hamza Taouzzale has been nominated to be elected as Chair of the Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee.

Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday 2nd July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee are scheduled to meet to discuss their work programme for the coming year, contract management and quality assurance in older people's care homes, and access to local dentistry services and oral health promotion. The aim of the meeting is to allow the committee to review existing policies, propose new areas for scrutiny, and ensure that the needs of vulnerable adults are being met. The meeting will be held at Westminster City Hall.

Council - Wednesday 25th June, 2025 7.00 pm

The Westminster City Council meeting included a tribute to former Councillor Nikki Aiken, presentations from the public, questions to the cabinet, and debates on housing and private renters. Councillors voted to approve constitutional changes and amend the members' allowance scheme.
