Policy Development Panel - Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025 6.30 pm
The Policy Development Panel of South Holland District Council met on 23 September 2025 to discuss a range of topics, including the council's budget preparation, housing policies, and safeguarding measures. Councillors were scheduled to review several policies and provide feedback before they are presented to the cabinet. The panel was also expected to discuss the progress of the Business Frontage Task Group and consider the retirement of the Derelict and Untidy Sites Policy.
Committee of the Licensing Authority - Tuesday, 9th September, 2025 6.30 pm
The Committee of the Licensing Authority met to discuss the draft statement of licensing policy following a public consultation, and agreed to include reference to the Immigration Act 2016, publish a standalone pool model of conditions document, amend the visibility guidance to require at least 75% of windows to remain unobstructed, decline the inclusion of waterproof labelling as a policy requirement, and strengthen the policy wording around criminal activity and licence reviews. The amended Licensing Act 2003 Draft Statement of Licensing Policy would be approved for referral to Council for adoption and publication. Councillors also noted that they were required to attend annual refresher training in order to remain eligible to sit on licensing panels.
South Holland District Council - Wednesday, 23rd July, 2025 6.30 pm
South Holland District Council was scheduled to discuss a range of topics at its meeting, including committee seat allocations, the delivery of a health and wellbeing hub, a waste services delivery model, and the implementation of new HR policies.
