The Executive of North Northamptonshire Council approved a four-year contract for the procurement of waste and recycling containers and adopted an updated Highway Network Management Plan. They also agreed to proceed with the development of a town centre masterplan for Wellingborough, followed by Kettering, and decided to prepare the new Local Plan under the Government's revised development plan system.

The North Northamptonshire Health and Wellbeing Board met on 9 December 2025 to discuss a range of health and wellbeing issues in the area. These included an overview of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, the Family Help Strategy, and the annual report of the Northamptonshire Children's Safeguarding Partnership (NSCP). The board was also scheduled to discuss mental health support for care leavers.

The North Northamptonshire Council Executive met to discuss a range of issues, including the adoption of the Corporate Plan 2025-2029, the financial performance of the council, and a new policy for adult social care direct payments. They approved the Great Addington Neighbourhood Plan, and also approved going out to procurement for the electoral services printing and mailing contract. The Executive also agreed to introduce a premium for long term empty properties and second homes to encourage owners to bring properties back into use more quickly to address housing shortages.

Zero-emission Bus Scheme

...to progress a zero-emission bus scheme, the Executive agreed to provide up to £1.8 million in grant funding for eight electric buses and associated infrastructure on the Kettering – Rothwell – Desborough – Corby/Market Harborough corridor, subject to Subsidy Control Act compliance, and delegated authority for a funding agreement with Stagecoach.
