The Waltham Forest Council Planning Committee was scheduled to meet on 6 May 2025 to discuss several planning applications and related matters. At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council, councillors approved an updated Local Development Scheme and declared a Nature Emergency in the borough. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Mohammad Asghar, father of Councillor Naheed Asghar, Portfolio Lead Member - Inclusive Economy, who had recently passed away.

The Waltham Forest Council Planning Committee met on 1 April 2025 to discuss several planning applications, including a proposal for a new crematorium, and the redevelopment of a secondary school. The committee was also scheduled to discuss a report on development management.

Pension Committee - Wednesday, 12th March, 2025 7.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to discuss the Local Government Pension Scheme (England and Wales): Fit for the Future consultation, the appointment of a new Independent Advisor, and a number of training and risk management issues. It also received a verbal report on the most recent valuation of the Pension Fund.

The Committee voted to grant planning permission for the change of use of arches 5-20 at Courtenay Place, Walthamstow.
