The Transport and Air Quality Committee of Richmond upon Thames Council approved recommendations on 09/06/2026. There were no Ward Concerns.

The Transport and Air Quality Committee agreed the work programme for the Transport Strategy 2040 on 9 June 2026. This programme outlines the development of six supporting plans: an Asset Management Plan, a Public Transport Plan, a new Walking and Cycling Strategy, an Accessibility and Inclusion Plan, Area Transport Plans, and a Transport Strategy Action Plan.

The Transport and Air Quality Committee decided to note bus and rail service performance, agree priorities for rail services, and support improvements to District Line reliability and accessibility. The committee also agreed that the report would form the basis of an annually reviewed Public Transport Plan.
