The Standards Committee of Devon Council met on Wednesday 29 July 2026 to consider an allegation of a breach of the Members' Code of Conduct. The committee found that breaches had occurred in relation to two allegations, and no breaches in relation to three others. As a result, the Subject Member was required to make a written apology and undertake bespoke training on the code of conduct.

Key decisions included noting the outcomes of a member safety and wellbeing audit and welcoming ongoing work in this area, as well as noting the contents of the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman report and requesting continued monitoring of service improvements.
