The committee also noted a list of planning appeal decisions.

The Street Trading and Pavement Licensing Sub Committee met to consider an application for a pavement licence for Lovetts of Newlyn Ltd. Councillor Robin Moorcroft was elected chair for the meeting, and the application for Lovetts of Newlyn Ltd was subsequently granted.

Cornwall Council scheduled a meeting for 22 July 2025, to discuss a range of topics from public questions to motions regarding devolution, health priorities, and environmental concerns. Also on the agenda was the Audit Committee Annual Report, re-appointment of a Harbours Board member, and the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Licensing Policy.

West Sub-Area Planning Committee - Monday, 21st July, 2025 10.00 am

The West Sub-Area Planning Committee of Cornwall Council met on 21 July 2025, and approved the demolition of a dwelling in Hayle, and the conversion of farm buildings in Redruth, while also delegating authority to the Chief Planning Officer for both. They also deferred a decision on the construction of houses in Redruth pending a site inspection, and refused permission in principle for a housing scheme in Helston.

Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday, 10th July, 2025 10.00 am

The Strategic Planning Committee met to discuss two planning applications and a list of appeals. The committee voted to refuse an application for a solar farm near St Dennis and deferred a decision on a geothermal power plant near Camelford pending a technical briefing.
