The Combined Authority Board of West Yorkshire Combined Authority Council endorsed the creation of the Executive Director for Economy role and the Director of Transport Commercial role on 25/06/2026. They also endorsed the resulting changes to the Senior Leadership Structure.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority Board did not agree to the recommendations of the Independent Remuneration Panel on member remuneration or the adoption of the amended Members' Allowances Scheme for 2026/2027. The decision was deferred to the July 30, 2026 meeting.

The Combined Authority Board, on 25 June 2026, approved proposed changes to the governance and assurance arrangements for the Mayor's Police and Crime Commissioner functions. This included agreeing consequential amendments to the Constitution and the Governance and Audit Committee Terms of Reference.

The Interim Executive Director for Transport, on 1 July 2026, approved the commencement of a competitive procurement process for Round Two West Yorkshire Combined Authority Bus Franchising contracts. This approval encompasses the right to procure, award, and enter into contracts with successful suppliers.

The Governance and Audit Committee, on 2 July 2026, noted the Data Protection Officer Report. This report detailed information governance performance, the appointment of a new Data Protection Officer, and updates on ICO complaints and the ICO Accountability Framework.

The Combined Authority Board decided to approve the draft Annual Governance Statement on 25 June 2026. This statement is for publication as part of the annual accounts.

The Combined Authority Board decided to approve the draft Local Skills Improvement Plan on 25 June 2026. The plan was developed in collaboration with the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
