The People Scrutiny Committee of Derbyshire Council was scheduled to discuss the Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Board's Annual Report for 2024-2025, a consultation on the future of the Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service (DACES), and proposed redesigns to the Children's Services Home to School Transport Policy. Derbyshire County Council met on 10 December 2025, and approved the appointment of a new Chief Executive, Neil Crittenden, as well as changes to committee memberships and contract standing orders. Councillors also discussed a range of public and member questions, and voted on several notices of motion, including one opposing a digital ID scheme and another regarding the protection of green spaces from pylon development.

Derbyshire County Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, to conduct formal business. The agenda includes prayers, apologies for absence, declarations of interest, and a proposal to appoint Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. Extraordinary meeting, Council - Thursday, 13 November 2025 4.00 pm, NEW

The council met to discuss and vote on a recommendation to be put to the cabinet regarding local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to support a single unitary council for the whole Derby and Derbyshire area. The council also agreed to delegate authority to the Interim Chief Executive, Simon Stevens, in discussion with Councillor Alan Graves, Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Strategic Leadership, to make any amendments and additions to the submission document following feedback from the full council.

Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education - Monday, 10 November 2025 1.30 pm

The Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss feedback on the new Agreed Syllabus, review curriculum and assessment, and consider advice regarding local government reorganisation. The meeting was scheduled to take place on 10 November 2025 at County Hall, Matlock.
